NGM offers personalized attention, with creative and resourceful solutions to each project and its challenges. Without prohibitive overhead, NGM can offer competitive rates to small businesses and independent projects.

THE PRODUCER

The producer, Robin Laverne Wilson, is a profile graduate of Rutgers-Newark University, Class of 2008, and emerging filmmaker. She brings over 15 years of cumulative experience in photography, journalism, theater, performance, marketing, public speaking, broadcasting, writing, video and event production and curating. New Growth Media was conceived and developed during her senior year at Rutgers as her senior honors thesis and vehicle for her transition from student to full-time media artist professional.

THE LOGO

The New Growth Media logo is intended to evolve as the personality of the brand matures over time. The aesthetic of its first design reflects the clean, elegant, and minimalist simplicity of the company’s overall philosophy and production value. The typewriter font embraces the old technology’s role in inspiring independent media and spawning the computer, and to allude to the Courier font that is industry standard for screenplay script format. New Growth Media brands itself as intelligent, sophisticated, global, witty, progressive, and socially-conscious.

The tagline is “Revolution. Televised.” This is a reference to Gil Scott-Heron’s 1970’s anthem, “The Revolution Will Not Be Televised”- a seminal performance within the Black Arts and Media canon. Acknowledging the imminent need for more progressive and diverse stories, New Growth Media posits that in the Millennium, the broadcast of any and all revolution is necessary. And the revolution is the result of the individual and collective embrace of the tools to make media, the documentation of stories, and the consumption of the subsequent media within niche and like-minded communities.
